This Act provides for ownership of an individual apartment in a building together with the undivided interest in the common areas and facilities. It also provides for setup of Societies for management of common areas and facilities.
Before this Act came into force it was not possible for different apartments in the same building to be owned by different people. ACAs Zonal PUDA have been designated as Competent Authority under this Act.
